Grado’s headphones are well-made and well-designed. It is one of the 5 most interesting gadgets lists for a reason They sound warm, lively, and full of bass, and they have a retro, minimal aesthetic. Their award-winning lineup has recently been updated, and our favourite is the SR80x.

Because they have an open back, the audio will slightly bleed out, so you might not want to take them on the train. However, it makes them lighter and more comfortable to use at home for extended periods of time, and it creates a more spacious audio sound than a closed-back pair. Upgraded drivers are also included with the new headphones.

2. Syng Cell Alpha speaker

It’s unusual to come across something completely new in home audio, so this spherical speaker has definitely piqued our interest. Syng was founded by a former Apple designer, who claims that this is the world’s first ‘triphonic’ speaker, which uses three speakers to create a sound that fills your room more ‘accurately.’

This doesn’t sound completely insane, but we’ll have to wait to hear one in person before passing judgement. If you have some extra cash, the company recommends purchasing three of the speakers for the best setup.

These night lights have motion sensors built-in, so they light up when you walk by. They have light sensors as well, so they will shut down when it is dawn. They’re lightweight, battery-powered, and magnetically snap to a frame that sticks to the wall with sticky tape, making them simple to install and ideal for renters. Because the technology is quite power-hungry, you’ll only be able to fly for a maximum of 25 minutes, but it’ll be one hell of a ride.
